M.Des Industrial Design is a two-year course. This course is for the student's creative ability, digital skills and visualization skills. BDes Industrial Design caters to those creative individuals, equipping them with the necessary skills to make a career out of thinking outside the box.
MDes Industrial Design aims to equip students with the skills to create new products that stimulate business and contribute to the upkeep of the welfare of communities. Industrial Design introduces students to the world of industrial design, its dynamics, and the different technological equipment involved in the process of designing.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Des Industrial Design
1. Successful completion of graduation in any course stream like B. A, B.Sc. etc. from a recognized university/college.
2. Candidates must have a Master’s degree with a minimum aggregate in Science or Social Science or Humanities or any other equivalent course.
3. The candidate must have also scored an aggregate score of 50% at the level of graduation
4. A reduction has been in place for the SC/ST students up to 45% which can be availed if the students have the required documentation to prove their claim.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
Career after M.Des Industrial Design
After four years of the MDes Industrial Design course, students will be ready to join industries and develop themselves as professionals. The entry-level salary of a product designer is between Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh.
The salary package varies as per professional experience and educational experience. Product designers are in charge of creating designs for the product both manually and digitally. They also have to do thorough research for understanding the market of the given product.
